Calendar ~ Please set your dates for 2012 such as meetings and any events you can now schedule and get them on the church calendar. It fills up fast—so contact the church office or put your dates on the calendar in the office as soon as possible.
 
Ladies’ Lunch ~ The Ladies will go out to lunch together on Thursday, February 9th
 
BMW Meeting ~ February is Heart Health Month and we will have guest speaker, Allen McCullough, Fayette County Fire Chief, here to discuss heart health issues on Thursday, February 2nd, at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. Please invite your spouse and friends. Coffee and desserts will be served. See Nancy Legg or Lee Ann Bartlett with any questions.
 
Souper Bowl Sunday ~ There will be a soup and sandwich lunch after the 11:00 service Sunday, February 5th, to raise money for the Pan de Vida mission in Monterrey Mexico which has recently lost its financial support. The lunch is free and donations will be accepted.
 
Bridal Shower for Rachel McLaughlin ~ Brooks Methodist Women will be hosting a wedding shower for Rachel McLaughlin, daughter of Marilyn and Alan McLaughlin, on Sunday, February 12 from 2:00-4:00 in the double room.  Her wedding is March 3 and she is registered at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
 
Bridal Shower for Shawna Clancy ~ On Sunday, February 19, Brooks Methodist Women will be hosting a wedding shower for Shawna Clancy, daughter of Cindilu Clancy, from 2:00-4:00 in the double room.  Her wedding is March 17 and she is registered at Crate and Barrel and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
 
Second Chance Thrift Shop ~ We've re-organized our sorting procedures and are now receiving donations only at the shop.  We are there to accept donations on Wednesdays from 9:30-12:00 and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am - 5 pm.  Current needs of the shop are kitchen items and men's clothing.  Thanks for keeping us in mind as you clean out your closets!

Cleaning for a Reason
If you know any woman currently undergoing chemo, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning - 1 time per month for 4 months while she is in treatment. All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these women. Be a blessing to someone and pass this information along.http://www.cleaningforareason.org
